Detectives to Canvass Capitol Heights Neighborhood in Homicide Investigation

This evening, detectives with our Homicide Unit will canvass a Capitol Heights neighborhood to gather additional information in a fatal shooting last Friday. The victim is 27-year-old Carrington Carter II, of Windjammer Court in Fort Washington. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.

On December 30th, at about 10:10 pm, officers were called to the 7100 block of White Pearl Place for the report of a shooting. When the officers arrived, they discovered Carter suffering from a gunshot wounds to his upper body. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital
                          
Detectives are working to identify a suspect(s) and motive in this case. The canvass will begin at 6:30 pm in the 7100 block of White Pearl Place.
