PGPD Investigates Homicide in Oxon Hill


The Prince George’s County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Oxon Hill. The victim is 28-year-old Christopher Bess of no fixed address. Preliminarily, detectives do not believe this was a random act. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered in this case.
On September 13, 2015, at about 6:00 pm, patrol officers were called to the 800 block of Southern Avenue for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Bess outside suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead a short time later at a hospital. 
Detectives are working to identify the motive and suspect(s) in this case.
