Quick Arrest in Bladensburg Murder

The Prince George's County Police Department arrested a suspect in a murder in Bladensburg. 

The suspect is 26-year-old Nathaniel Jamar Johnson of the 5500 block of Tilden Road in Bladensburg. The victim is 22-year-old Larry Nathaniel Williams of Eldridge Street in Hyattsville. 

On July 2, 2014, at about 9:15 pm, officers with the Bladensburg Police Department were called to the 5000 block of 57th Avenue for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Williams lying in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He died at a hospital several hours later.

The preliminary investigation suggests the shooting stemmed from an earlier argument.

Johnson was arrested at his home this morning. He's charged with first and second degree murder. He's currently in custody at the Department of Corrections on a no bond status.
