PGPD Arrests Two Suspects in Clinton Arson/Theft

Randy Lee Huston

Floyd Jack Rosenbaum Jr

The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested two suspects in connection with an arson and theft case in Clinton. The suspects are 32-year-old Randy Lee Huston of the 8400 block of Burton Lane in Upper Marlboro and 37-year-old Floyd Jack Rosenbaum Jr, of the 25000 block of Shamrock Lane in Mechanicsville.

In the early morning hours of July 5, 2014, patrol officers were called to the 8000 block of Schultz Road for the report of a vehicle fire. When they arrived, they found two pickup trucks on fire. They also discovered several additional trucks had been broken into. The crime was caught on surveillance camera.

On July 16, 2014, detectives questioned Huston about an unrelated residential burglary in Aquasco to which he admitted involvement. During that interview, investigators learned Huston was involved in the arson and theft in Clinton.

Investigative developments led detectives to Rosenbaum, who was arrested on July 24, 2014, in Saint Mary’s County. Detectives believe these suspects are involved in additional burglaries and thefts in the area. Both men now face several charges, including second degree arson and first degree malicious burning. Huston has been released on a $10,000 bond.  Rosenbaum remains in custody with the Department of Corrections.
