PGPD Uncovers Homicide While Helping Metropolitan Police Search for Relisha Rudd

The Prince George's County Police Department is investigating a homicide in Oxon Hill.

On March 20, 2014, at about 8:00 am, patrol officers were asked to respond to a motel in the 6100 block of Oxon Hill Road to assist the Metropolitan Police Department in its search for a missing eight-year-old girl, Relisha Tenau Rudd.  While at the motel, the patrol officers discovered an adult female suffering from trauma to the body.  She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives are working to establish a motive and identify suspect(s) in this case.

The Metropolitan Police Department issued an Amber Alert for Relisha Rudd today.  If you see her or have any information on her whereabouts, please call 911 or 202-727-9099.
