PGPD Searches for Murder Suspect

Update: the Prince George's County Police Department arrested Michael Deangelo Briscoe in Alexandria, VA on October 25, 2012.  Briscoe is still in VA, awaiting extradition.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is searching for the suspect wanted in connection with a murder in Glenarden on Sunday, October 21, 2012. The suspect is identified as 24 year-old Michael Deangelo Briscoe of the 3100 block of 75th Avenue in Landover.


Police officers were called to a residence in the 8400 block of Hamlin Street in Glenarden around 2:45 am for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, police officers found the victim lying inside the home with gunshot wounds. She’s identified as 26 year-old Shariel McCutchen of the District. She did not survive her injuries.


The preliminary investigation reveals Briscoe shot McCutchen after she had been involved in a physical altercation with a second female inside the apartment. That female and the suspect are in a relationship. She was not hurt and did flee the scene and call for help.

A warrant has been issued for Briscoe. He is being charged with first and second degree murder and other charges.
