"My Girlfriend's House" Teen Girls Mentoring Program Partners with County Police

Sergeant Tori Smith, the Faith-Based Liaison for the Prince George's County Police Department, will speak as a mentoring partner at "My Girlfriend's House Inc." This meeting is scheduled for June 2, 2012 at 11:00am at 9244 East Hampton Drive #621, Capitol Heights, Maryland.

My Girlfriend's House is a non-profit organization for teen-aged girls located in the Capitol Heights area. The focus is to work with girls that live in foster homes, homeless shelters and those who have experienced a troubled past. The facility has a clubhouse geared towards providing weekly mentoring workshops, educational support labs, workplace preparation labs, homework assistance labs and a series of creative labs designed to empower them in pursuing their interests. The organization has a retail store that provides participants and their families with a variety of household goods and personal care items at no charge. The media is invited to attend.
