Suspect Wanted for Robbery of M&T Bank in Forestville Arrested

Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Robbery Unit has arrested 19 year old Shakir Taylor in connection with the robbery of an M&T Bank in Forestville, Maryland that occurred earlier this month.

Taylor, of the 3700 block of Donnell Drive, was arrested without incident this morning at his residence. Information received through the Prince George’s County Crime Solvers tip line assisted detectives in locating Taylor. He has been remanded to the Prince George’s County Department of Corrections on charges of robbery.

On November 8, 2011, at approximately 11:46 a.m., two suspects, Kadija Taylor and Shakir Taylor, walked into the M&T Bank in the 3700 block of Donnell Drive and passed a note to a bank teller demanding money. The bank teller complied with the suspects’ demands and gave them an undisclosed amount of money. The suspects then fled the bank on foot. Kadija Taylor, 20 of the 3700 block of Donnell Drive was arrested shortly after the robbery occurred. Detectives obtained a warrant for Shakir Taylor charging him with robbery.
